Large bars are 7 oz. They have wrap around labels with ingredients, text and artwork on the sides and back of the bar. Small bars are 2 oz. and have square labels on the front of the bar so no ingredients.

3-packs are three large bars of the same flavor. The only difference is the price! They are great for people who already know what they love and want to stock up and get a better price.

Samplers are packs of small bars, from 4-60 flavors. The more you get the better the deal :)

Lots of folks with sensitive skin seem to swear by them. There are no detergents, sulfates, artificial fragrances or colorants, that's usually the stuff that irritates your skin. we only use saponified plant oils, essential oils and botanicals. If you have super reactive skin, start with a gentle flavor like Calendula Lavender Oatmeal, Rose Butter Bath Bar or Filthy Baby Soap

We ship USPS priority mail from Pahoa or Hilo every Wednesday or Saturday. Generally it takes 3-4 days to any address on the mainland. Oahu is often next day. Outer islands can be as quick as 2 days. Shipping is free on orders over $30.

Every genuine soap is made with lye — it's what turns oil into soap. The magic of saponification means none remains in the finished bar. The lye is completely consumed turning the oils into soap.

Yes — we use sustainably farmed palm oil certified by the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil)

A Large (7 oz.) bar lasts most folks several weeks of daily showers. Of course it depends on how many people are showering etc. The secret to a long life: let it drain and dry between uses instead of sitting in a puddle.

In the shower, use a draining soap dish so the bar dries out between uses. Unused bars keep best wrapped up tightly in a bag. They always say "store in a cool, dry place" and hawaii is a hot, wet place so it's especially hard to keep stuff fresh here. everywhere else it's no big deal. We've had more than one person mention that they love to keep them in their dresser drawers to keep your clothes smelling nice.

Our bars are wash-off products with modest amounts of essential oil, which is generally considered fine. That said, everybody and every body is different — if you're pregnant and cautious about specific essential oils, check the ingredient list on each flavor and ask your doctor.

Yep, Muddy Puppy and Delicate Dawg are designed for dog. Muddy puppy has Neem which is great for fleas and ticks. We have some other soaps featuring dogs on the labels, (Sea Dog, filthy mutt etc.) these are mostly meant for people, that said all of our soaps are fine to wash dogs with and work great.

Plenty of folks do! Real soap is more alkaline than detergent shampoo, so results depend on your hair and your water. Rose Butter Bath Bar and Filthy Mind are long standing shampoo bar recommendations, but honestly all of our soaps can be used for shampoo. One caveat is that you may want to skip the ones that have lots of flowers and herbs in them, they won't hurt you but they tend to be a little messy.

We can't make medical claims — we make soap. That said, many folks with cranky skin find soap like ours with no detergents or synthetic fragrance can really help. Patch-test a gentle flavor, and check with your dermatologist.
